Quantock Rocks

Different parts of the Quantocks are made different sorts of rock. These rocks have given the Quantocks their special shape and special scenery.

Geologists have identified and named the various rocks. Often they call the rocks after the place they were first found and studied. They have also given names to the different times in Earth's history when they were made.
